The challenge
This customer was working on a TV series production and needed temporary power solutions for a range of smaller production set ups and crew requirements. They originally requested a 30kVA Stage V generator, but as our team asked the key questions and found out more about the production requirements, it became clear we could offer a more sustainable solution that would deliver the power they needed, without the emissions associated with a diesel generator.
The solution
Instead of the 30kVA, we set them up with two 45kVA/60kWh trailered BESS units. The units were operated on a rotational basis to fully remove the need for a generator. While one unit was in use, the other was recharging from a mains supply, allowing for continuous uninterrupted operations. This approach made the set-up entirely generator-free, eradicating all noise, emissions, and overall fuel dependency while maintaining a reliable power source that delivered on impact and sustainability.
